File Title:   Chris Nelson's MLB 2K8 (Xbox 360) Roster Update v1    download_trans.gif Download

Description:    This is the first version of my roster update for MLB 2K8. It is a very rough version of the roster and is not even close to being complete. Therefore, it likely contains far more mistakes than you are accustomed to with my rosters, so please take this into consideration.

For this update, I have done the following things:

Re-named nearly all of the free agents with fake names (there were a ton!) and most of the ones in the minor leagues of teams as well. I’m sure I’ve missed a few, but I’ll get them.
Re-named most of the prospects with fake names in the game. If you notice some I’ve pleased, there is no need to let me know because it was likely intentional. A lot of times 2K gave the prospects an incorrect skin color, so I’m going to have to create them out of someone else. I will do them eventually.
Moved tons of free agents that are in spring training with clubs right now to the appropriate minor league systems.
Updated the positions of some MLB players for the upcoming season.
Most 40-man roster players are present (some still need to be created).
Fixed jersey numbers of all 40-man roster players and spring training invitees.
Updated the heights/weights of MLB players per the official team sites.

As I said before, this roster is far from complete, and likely contains a lot of mistakes and inaccuracies. There are surely going to be veterans from teams in 2007 that are still on that team’s AAA rosters, even if they aren’t with the team anymore.

My main priority right now is getting all the 25-man MLB rosters complete by Opening Day, so that v2 has all these correct. After that’s done, only then will I begin working on fully updating the minor league teams. This is bound to take quite a bit of time, so please be patient with me. I will begin working on the AAA teams and working my way down.

Also, please note that once the season begins, I will be using the A teams for storage of MLB players on the disabled list, since the A teams will be the last ones updated.
