Version 2 (released April 1, 2008)

This is v2 of my roster update. Changes/additions since v1 include:

· All active 25-man rosters for all 30 Major League clubs are accurate as of April 1.

· In addition, all basic info for these players is correct. This includes heights, weights, ages, jersey numbers, positions, etc.

· Additionally, all lineups should be close to accurate if not completely accurate. Rotations and bullpens should be correct as well.

· All players currently on the 40-man roster are present as well.

· Please note that any player current on the disabled list, suspended list or any other reserve list is located on their team’s Single-A affiliate roster. This might not be the ideal situation, but in order to get the 25-man rosters correct (and eventually the AAA and AA rosters as well) I need somewhere to “stash” players on the DL. This is what I will use Single-A teams in the game for throughout the season. If you’d like to play an exhibition with a major league team and use a player currently on the DL, you’ll need to edit the roster and promote him to the team’s MLB roster.

· Each team’s top 10 prospects according to Baseball America have been added and have been given realistic potential ratings to reflect real life, i.e. the top prospects should progress very well. (Note: as the minor league teams are not yet updated completely, they are not necessarily in the right level of the minors. This is not a mistake.)

· While the minor league teams have not yet been updated, there are plenty of real life minor league players present in the game as a result of all the prospects and spring training invitees I’ve added. I would estimate that the majority of every team’s AAA players are found somewhere in the organization in my roster, though not necessarily in AAA since as I’ve said I haven’t updated the minor league teams yet.
