Description:

Version 6 (released May 27, 2008)

This is version 6 of my roster update. Changes/additions since v5 include:

· Accurate 25-man MLB rosters as of May 26.

· Accurate AAA rosters as of May 26.

· Tons and tons of tweaked ratings for accuracy.

· Various tweaks and fixes, including jersey numbers, re-creating players that were the wrong race, etc.

Well as you guys know it’s been over a month since I released a roster. To be completely honest, I’ve been kind of burned out on doing rosters lately. Also, there was a time where I fell behind almost a week, and when doing transactions for 60 teams (MLB and AAA) it becomes hours and hours of work to catch up.

Also, I’m sorry to disappoint you all but I have decided not to do the AA rosters at all. There are a few reasons for this. The first and main reason is that it’s just too difficult to ultimately maintain. When an MLB team puts a guy on a DL and calls up a guy from AAA, that creates a hole on AAA that I have to fill. Then I have to remember there’s an intentional error on that roster and remember to go back and see if the team has fixed it. Doing this between MLB and AAA teams is a difficult enough task, and it happens quite often as you can see by the accompanying Intentional Errors document. Adding AA to the mix would make things very difficult to manage on a day-to-day basis for me.

Still, I’m not sure this is completely a bad thing. Many of the AA players from each organization will be in the game, whether by being a spring training invitee in March, a top prospect I’ve added or a guy that has had time in AAA this year. AA is filled with guys that are very far from the majors and may never get there, so I’m not sure having them a little inaccurate is the end of the world.

Again, I’m sorry if this disappoints you, but I feel it is just too difficult a task to completely manage for me. I still think my rosters, with the MLB, AAA and all the other prospects is still very good and more than sufficient for any mode of play, so I hope you enjoy them as well. And as always, any feedback is welcome if you want me to tweak some things on MLB or AAA players.
