This little gem was found on IGN this week under the article titled:
The New Generation of Animation Virtual motion takes a huge leap forward. by Jason Allen. Its a worthy read, and a three-pager at that, found HERE. However..the potentially juicier meat can be found on the third page... "...As IGN's own Jon Robinson reported last May in his first look on the game, "Steve Nash dribbles the ball up court, checks out the D and licks his fingers before delivering a one-handed bounce pass to The Matrix who finishes the play with the ugliest money shot in the game. Nash gets back on defense, stops, and flicks his hair behind his ear." And when the characters weren't behaving like real basketball players, their uniform shorts were flapping like real basketball shorts. And if the info I stumbled upon last week is any indication, 2K Sports may have other revolutionary displays of animation planned for future games. Last February, NaturalMotion announced a partnership deal with Rockstar Games, Inc., the publishing label responsible for Grand Theft Auto. Rockstar Games is also in the same family of companies as 2K Sports. When pressed about future projects using NaturalMotion's animation technology, one of the NaturalMotion employees at GDC brought up the deal they have with Rockstar now. I commented that he must be talking about Grand Theft Auto IV, and he said no, not exactly. He mentioned the fact that 2K Sports is in the same family of companies as Rockstar, pointed out the football characters used in the animation demos, and the fact that their booth had young guys suited-up in football gear. I mentioned that he must be talking about 2K's rumored All-Pro football game that's been tightly under wraps. That's when he stopped talking.

If you haven't already checked it out linked on the front page of OS, be sure to check out Clay T. Shavers's article "The Ball Is Loose" at 5w-g.com: http://www.5w-g.com/?p=115 Great article, Clay. It's hard to disagree with him about a HUGE missed chance for 2K marketing by not hyping All Pro Football 2K8 with an add during the Super Bowl when most of the world was watching.
