Top 5 Moments From This Past College Football Season

#5 Rutgers over Louisville: Rutgers fans aren't going to forget this win any time soon.  The success of the Scarlet Knights was one of the biggest surprises of the 2006 season, and it reached its apex in this 28-25 win over Louisville in front of a Rutgers home crowd.  The Scarlet Knights perfect season may have come to an end the following week, but for a brief moment they were the talk of college football.

#4 Ohio State Defeats Michigan:
For the first time in their long history as rivals, Ohio State faced Michigan in a #1 vs. #2 match-up.  With all of the hype surrounding this game, you almost didn't want to get too excited in case it ended up being a disappointment.  It wasn't.  The 42-39 Buckeye win gave fans everything they had hoped to see, and it didn?t hurt Troy Smith's Heisman hopes either.

#3 UCLA Upsets USC: Underdogs love to play the role of spoiler. Unranked UCLA spoiled USC's title hopes this season in a 13-9 shocker.   The Florida Gators may owe a thank you card to the Bruins for helping set setting up our next big moment from this past season.

#2 Florida Stuns Ohio State:
Few people thought Florida stood a chance against Ohio State in this year's BCS National Championship game.  The only problem?  Someone forgot to tell Florida.  The Gators didn?t realize they weren't supposed to win.  When the final whistle blew, the score was 41-14 and the Gators were National Champions.

#1 Statue of Liberty: There's a reason why Jared Zabransky will appear on the cover of NCAA Football 08.  His amazing performance in the final moments of the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma will be talked about for decades.  Who calls a trick play on a two point conversion to win a game in overtime?  Boise State, that's who.
