So far in the "Naughty & Nice 2007" segment, we've covered two "Nice" features.  The first being 2K Share, the second being Madden 08 360's branching animations.

And now comes our first downer...

 In short, it shouldn't be as bad as it is.  EA has had 2 and a half years with XBOX Live 360, and yet each of their football games, be they college or pro, are a laggy slide-show for many gamers.  I'd go so far as to say that of the 20 to 30 360 games I've ever owned, none of them has lag to the point of Madden and NCAA 08 360.

Not to beat a dead horse, but EA needs to fix this in 2009.  It's terrible (particulary on NCAA 08, and not much better in Madden 08) and there's no excuse for a publisher like EA Tiburon to consistently have poorly performing online football offerings.  I don't know if it's network code or the servers themselves, but this needs fixed immediately if not sooner.  Football gamers are growing increasingly cynical about what they are being offered, and the latency in the EA football games are tops on the list, and for good reason.
