The ConsoleSports.net offices just received a copy of FIFA Street 3 yesterday and I was able to spend just a little bit of time with it. I will say that I'm not the biggest fan of the Street series as a whole because I like the "real" version of the game, but I think FIFA Street kind of works for me. Heck, I used to play soccer when I was a kid and kind of liked playing indoor soccer just a bit better than playing outside. I think FIFA Street kind of gives me that kind of "indoor soccer" feel for a video game, even though it's not indoor soccer, but you get the point.
Anyway, it seem to really rely on the special moves you can perform to power up your meter so all you players get their max abilities for a short amount of time. It seems like it's almost a guarantee that you are going to score if you get the ball on the net. So it kind of feels like a race to fill your meter and up and score goals. I'm okay with it because it does bring some NBA Jam type fun factor to the game.
The graphics are pretty good, I wasn't really blown away by them, but at the same time, I think they look good. Like I said, I didn't get much time to play last night, but I was able to get a couple games in and enjoyed the time I spent with it so far.
I will try and report on how it plays online later on this evening.
