Consolesports.net just got word from RAC, the EA Community Manager, that we are receiving an invite to the 2009 EA Sports Football Community Event at EA Tiburon, Orlando FLalong with 12 other representatives from the Madden/NCAA/Head Coach Community Leaders bunch.  I'll be traveling out on Wednesday, May 28th, and spending Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th in EA's studio... a mere week and a half from now.

I'll be the one respresenting Consolesports.net at this particular event.  Unfortunately, Craig won't be accompanying me on this trip since he's using his vacation time to go cover E3 2008 in L.A. for our site.

I have to say that I'm extremely honored that our site has been recognized by EA once again with this invitation, and the same goes for the recognition from E3 as well.  Its been a big year for Consolesports.net, and we are working hard to bring our readers and forum participants the best independent coverage around for sports video games.

As for the actual EA Sports Football Community Event, I have to say that I'm more excited than I have ever been for one of these community events.  The real big news is the timing of the event. EA is bringing in the Community Leader reps to see the products (NCAA, Madden, & Head Coach) at an earlier juncture than ever before. We are going to get to see work-in-progress games and have access to the design team far earlier than ever, and for two whole days in the studio.

I'll be publishing stories for the site remotely (for whatever information is allowed..in case there's NDA's with this early event, which I fully expect there will be.)  Regardless, I'm sure there will be plenty of good information for me to share with all of you.  Our thanks to EA for making us part of yet another community event.

Three football products, two days, one studio...and months before release... you can't beat that.  I'm so there.
