Today I received an e-mail from Will Kinsler (aka RAC) from EA Sports outlining the updates to the Community Leaders program that EA has. Now, it's not just the owners of fansites that are eligible to be in the program, anybody can be. Here's the letter that Will wanted to send out to the community.
EA SPORTS Football Community Leaders Program
What is the Football Community Leaders Program?
The Football Community Leaders Program is an initiative that was created in order to better connect EA SPORTS with fans of our titles, while rewarding stand out members of the football gaming community for their contributions and accomplishments.
What do community leaders do?
Community leaders interact with EA SPORTS to help create a better experience for their fellow football gaming fans. Leaders have an opportunity to directly communicate feedback about games and help to create unique content that highlights what is happening around the football gaming community. A select number of “elite community leaders” who have put forth an extraordinary effort to help their fellow fans may have the opportunity to participate in two additional ways:
• Elite community leaders might occasionally receive an early copy of an EA SPORTS title, in order that they may use it to help answer questions from other community members.
• Elite community members might also be invited to EA SPORTS community days throughout the year. Community days allow community leaders an early look at EA SPORTS titles, and a chance to speak directly with developers on location at the studios where the games are developed.
Who is eligible?
Anyone who is a registered member of EASPORTS.com is eligible.
How are community leaders chosen to participate?
Community leaders are selected by the EA SPORTS Football Community Management Team. Rather than keep an official list of leaders, community members are chosen to participate in events and projects based on their most recent contribution and level of activity in the community. On the second page is a list of criteria used by the community manager to select participants.
A Community leader…
• Is respectful to fellow community members at all times.
• Helps new community members who might have questions or need some direction.
• Contributes unique content that enhances the football gaming experience of fellow community members.
• Actively discusses key community issues, while offering possible solutions.
